Serving people is not just something we want to do; it's something we need to do. People discover personal healing through helping others. When tragedy strikes, serving helps to ease our pain, gets our focus off of our own problems, and brings healing to our souls. It is so important that we don't always just send a check; whenever possible, we also need to engage with those who are hurting. When you do this, not only do you help the people who are in need, but you also strengthen those who join you in serving.”
