QUOTE FOR THE DAY
The Lord is not done with you yet. He will arise in His appointed time and manifest His power in your life. - Bayo Afolaranmi

*******************
BIBLE VERSE FOR THE DAY
"When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The LORD has done great things for them.' The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy" (Psalm 126:1-3 NIV).

GREAT QUOTES

-Sermonindex

'He makes His ministers a flame of fire.' Am I ignitible?... 'make
me thy fuel, flame of God.'"
-Jim Elliot

"An empty Christian talks out of his head, but a Spirit-filled
Christian talks out of his heart. The Holy Spirit does not live in our
brains but in our heart. A head religion will talk anything, but a
heart religion talks Jesus and the Holy Spirit." - John T. Hatfield

"What are all your kings, all your nobles, all your diadems, when
you put them together, compared with the dignity of winning souls
to Christ?" -  C.H. Spurgeon

"Doubt is having faith in Satan."
-C.H. Spurgeon

"Before God uses the man, God breaks the man."
-C.H. Spurgeon

"The Holy Spirit is grieved when ministers of the Gospel and other
Christian workers more earnestly desire His gifts than Himself; when
they are more eager to be clothed with His power than to be filled
with His presence; when they prefer popularity to purity; when they
rely more on polished rhetoric than on the power of the Holy Ghost;
when they are more concerned about preparing the sermon than
themselves; when they are more ambitious to please the church than the
Head of the Church; when they subordinate the ministry of the Lord
Jesus to themselves and not to the Lord Jesus; when they use the
sacred office as a ladder to personal fame or gain instead of a
stairway up which they may lead repentant sinners to the bosom of
God." - Daniel Steele

we are called to be the bride of christ

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne" — Revelation 3:20-21, NKJV The bride of Christ has a desire to be great, noble, and successful. This deep human longing is answered by God as He enthrones us as His bridal partner throughout eternity. As the bride of Christ we have the highest position of honor and authority in eternity, a position far above all the angels. The highest position of honor for all of God's creation is reserved for the bride who will partake of the wedding table of Revelation 3:20. The bride who sits at the table feasting with Christ is the one who sits with Him in the position of government and authority as well. The bride of Christ is the queen of heaven because she is married to the King of kings. Believers are priest and kings. As priests we are wholehearted lovers, but as kings we are indeed in the government of the city of God. *PRAYER * Lord, Your desire for me to be Your bride satisfies the deep longing of my heart to be great, noble, and successful. I am great in You and will rule and reign with You in glory forever. *Greatness in God is not defined by earthly circumstances—greatness in God focuses upon His greatness.*

Serve the Lord with gladness and be grateful for all things

Serve the Lord with gladness and be grateful for all things

Submitted by Howard Barnes on Mon, 06/06/2011 - 19:18

"Whenever I'm disappointed with what is happening around me, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.
Jamie was trying out for a part in his school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. He was so anxious and being 'chosen' meant so much to him.
On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. 'Guess what, Mom,' he shouted, and then said those words that remain a lesson to me: "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."
Whatever God has called you to do this week - even if it's just to "clap and cheer" - do it with all your heart, as unto the Lord.....and to the glory of God.
"Whatever you are called to do, do it with all your heart." Colossians 3:23
God bless
Have a great week!

Christ Related To God

Mark 14:32 (NKJV)
Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

Christ Related To God
During His life on earth, Jesus modeled a proper relationship to God the Father. He never usurps His authority or embarks on tasks independently. We also see that He keeps a consistent prayerful communication with God, no matter the circumstances.

This relationship is central to everything Jesus does, which only makes logical sense.

As we previously discussed, our capabilities are finite so for us it doesn’t only make sense to keep our communication with God open and constant, it is absolutely essential. When a soldier is in the field, he needs to communicate with his superior in order to receive any change in his orders. Likewise we need to communicate consistently with our Superior to know what His desires are for us. If we cease this communication with God, we cut off our source of power as well as our source of direction.

Pray
Ask the Lord to refill and recharge your spirit. Praise Him for His goodness and thank Him for the ways your life has been blessed. Ask for Him to guide you daily.

Ask Yourself
Are you consistent in your prayer life? Do you ask God for guidance as you make decisions throughout the day or do you tend to act independently?

Take Action
As you wake up, before you start your day, take a few minutes to talk with God. Thank Him for life and for blessing you with salvation prior to making any requests. Ask Him to guide you throughout the day. As you take on the day, say quick prayers to God for guidance whenever you are faced with important decisions.

Living Waters

Living Waters

Consider a gentle stream says the Lord. A gentle body of water moving slowly through the riverbed. It brings a peace with it and it draws you to rest a while. This is a picture of my presence.

There are times in your life, when you need to experience the power of the waterfall. And this you can experience any time in a meeting or in a revival. However it is the slow and steady stream that feeds your spirit and brings you life.

It is this still stream inside of you that wail give you the strength that you need to walk in this world. So stop looking around you and outside for things to meet your need. Rather stop and sip of the gentle waters that run inside of you.

If you just remain quiet for a while and tap into your spirit, you will find me there. Talking and encouraging you. Giving you direction and showing you the truths in my Word. Look inside of you child! You are carrying the answers you need around with you.

There are many who can give you wisdom and counsel, but it is my still small voice and my gentle presence that will always be there to guide you and to feed you. So take hold of that now. Take a moment to drink of the living waters that I have given to you.

Taste of me and see that I am very good. I will meet your need and bring peace to your heart. I will be with you and never forsake you. I will not let you go or disappoint you. Your answer is right within your spirit. Drink of me this day and walk out full of my peace, joy and love.

Your Unique Walk

Your Unique Walk

As footprints in the sand are totally different, so is your walk in the spiritual realm. For indeed some footprints are big; some are small. Some are going one way; others are going in the opposite direction. Some are faint; others are firmly indented in the sand.

My child, just as each footprint is not quite the same as the others, even so your ministry and what I have called you to do are unique! You may be similar to others out there. You may think that you are doing it just the same as someone else. But there is one small thing that will separate you and make you different from each other.

For I have called you to walk on your road, and it is special and unique to me. I have chosen you to walk it, because you are the most qualified to do it. And indeed I have put in you the qualities to do this job.

So do not think that you do not fit in. Do not think that you are a failure and are wasting your time. For where I have placed you, there I will show you how to walk it. All you have to do is take the first step forward and I will help you to walk it out in victory and blessing.

Know that you are special to me, and I desire you to be special to others too. So flow out in love to those around you and let them see that special person that I have called you to be! Then you will be blessed as you pour out, and be blessed back in return by those you minister to.

Get Out of the Stroller

Get Out of the Stroller

You have been as a young child who has been pushed everywhere in a stroller. But the time must come for the baby to grow up. The time must come for the toddler to walk instead of being carried.

So I have carried you says the Lord, as a mother carries a young child, while that child is too weak to carry itself.

But now the time has come for you to stretch your spiritual legs and stand on your own feet. It is time to step out of the stroller and take the full weight on your own legs.

For I have indeed allowed you a time of rest, because your strength was low, and you needed a time where you would be free of pressure and difficulty. And this time has allowed you to regain your strength.

Now you are strong enough to step out and take a greater load than you have been able to handle until now. You are ready to face greater pressures and engage in higher levels of spiritual warfare.

Do not see this as Me removing My protection and care from you. For I will never leave you nor forsake you. Rather see it as an opportunity to grow and reach out beyond where you have walked up until now.

And as you begin to step out using what I have taught you, your strength will grow rapidly. Just as an athlete trains by increasing the stress applied to the body, so you will grow by facing greater challenges.

But know that I have not taken away My covering from you. And when the going becomes too difficult, you can return any time to the safety of My protection. As a child becomes weary and cries to return to the stroller, so you too can come to Me at any time and I will lift you up and give you a time of rest.

So welcome the opportunities that will arise now, and use them wisely. And soon you will come to a place where you can accomplish far more for My Kingdom and realize far more of your own personal goals and dreams says the Lord.
